Who's Eligible For Motability?
You can apply for the Motability scheme as a driver or passenger, or as a parent or carer on behalf of a child aged three or over.
The scheme is available to people receiving one of the following benefits, who have at least 12 months' award length remaining when they apply:· higher rate component of the disability living allowance; or war pensioners' mobility supplement.

Motability New Car Contract Hire Scheme
All you have to do is pay an advance payment (if applicable) and then in exchange for your allowance you can get a brand new car for 3 years. Your car will be fully maintained, serviced and insured for the 3-year period. You can travel up to 20,000 miles a year, without an excess mileage charge and all you have to pay for is your fuel and oil. When the 3-year period is over you simply return your car and choose a new one!

For the 10% of Motability customers who require a special adaptation to enable them to drive safely or travel in comfort as a passenger, special adaptations may be required.
